BACK TO OTHER TRIPS
Nez Perce Forest
July 30
WEATHER: 82 degree high. It rained all night and into the morning, a welcome change from the heat and smoke. We left the family and started our 3-day backcountry trip on the Selway River Trail.
Max, Luke, Tim, and Sharon with Aaron. What a wonderful family.
Mist replaced smoke for a minute.
The dry, brown, brittle moss around our camp rehydrated and recolored overnight :)
We only had to walk a mile and a half or so to find a great spot. The trail was a bit overgrown and lovely.
Since it was raining, the first thing we did was set up a tarp shelter. This was where we lived for the next 3 days. It was ESSENTIAL and served us well.
Perfect little spot by the rushing river.

Still gotta stash the bear bag of food…
