oil paintings of animals

oilpaintingsofanimals.com

www.oilpaintingsofanimals.com I started to become very interested in the survival behaviors that human and non-human animals display in common. Rendering the motions of behaviors like eating, feeding, finding a mate, and fighting in all animals is satisfying, but I realize that I'm especially absorbed with humans at the moment. I'm currently exploring the modern human notion of "the outdoors": camping. When I go camping, I'm intrigued by the way people behave when they are sleeping, eating, and generally behaving while outside.

garbage paintings

www.garbagepaintings.com Back in the 1980s, I lost a silver charm necklace that I had since I was a child. When I was telling a friend how sad I was to lose it, he told me that just about everything I've ever lost or thrown away is still here - somewhere. That one remark, both comforting and horrifying, has stayed firmly in my head and still shapes the way I think about physical objects. Click above to view the garbage paintings.
